After completing her studies at Monash University Parkville, and registering as a Pharmacist in 2014, Nicole has always had a passion for health services and holistic healthcare.
Working as a Pharmacist at TerryWhite Chemmart in Brimbank Shopping Centre, Nicole found vast number of patients living with Diabetes in the community in Brimbank, and decided to undertake further studies in Diabetes Management. She completed the Graduate Certificate of Diabetes Education in 2017 with Deakin University. Nicole acquired accreditation as a Diabetes Educator in 2020.
In 2019, Nicole commence working in Watergardens Shopping Centre Pharmacies - TerryWhite Chemmart and Priceline Pharmacy. These two pharmacies have a large catchment of patients seeking support in their diabetes management, and it has been a fantastic way for Nicole to gain experience with patients and their needs.
With the changing times of Covid-19, Nicole was able to continue practicing as a Credentialled Diabetes Educator in person, but also via telehealth. Telehealth consults remain available today, however it is noted that many people prefer the opportunity to consult face to face. At the moment, Nicole shares her time between the three original pharmacies in the Western Suburbs, with the hopes of expanding the diabetes consultation services to more pharmacies across Melbourne.
Nicole is registered with the Australian Diabetes Educator Association (ADEA) and maintains this registration by keeping up to date in the latest information. She has a passion to understand her patient's individual needs and work with them to have positive health outcomes.
